Last Friday saw one of Galway's leading auctioneers, DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard, continue its unrivalled success. With a range of properties throughout Galway city and county, Sligo, and Roscommon, the city based auctioneer re-affirmed its strike rate on the auction floor with 85 per cent of properties selling on the day.

Some 300 people packed into the Harbour Hotel to bid on properties in O’Donnellan & Joyce’s Wild Atlantic Way spring property auction which had more than 40 properties for sale from Galway city and throughout the western seaboard. Such is the national interest currently in O’Donnellan & Joyce’s auctions that RTÉ has included them in its forthcoming Home programme due to be aired in April, which was filmed on the day of the auction.

O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers brought the year 2016 to a successful conclusion when the company recorded €3 million in auction sales on Friday December 16 in its Wild Atlantic Way Christmas auction. The auction took place in the Harbour Hotel to an extremely well attended auction room, where a number of purchasers placed their bids by phone.

Last Thursday, June 9, saw leading local auctioneers DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard, live up to their reputation as one of the leading auction houses in the country with their hugely successful June auctions. With 18 lots going under the hammer on the day, following two late withdrawals, the company upheld their reputed success rate, with a 94 per cent sale result on the day.

Last Friday at the Radisson Blu Hotel, DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard continued its success on the auction floor with a six-lot auction that produced a swift hour of action and intense bidding. With an auction room full of bidders who were not afraid to bid, an air of decisiveness prevailed from the first bid and prevailed through to the final lot as bidders were keen to participate.

While most of the country was caught up with voting in the General Election, last Friday saw DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard hold the first of its 2016 auctions, and as usual the company had a successful day with 10 of the 16 lots selling in a busy afternoon in the Radisson Blu Hotel.
